Privacy Policy: What AIActGuide.net Collects, Why and Your Choices
AIActGuide.net runs no analytics and sets no tracking cookies. What the provider request form collects, who receives it and your choices.
AIActGuide.net runs no analytics, works with no ad vendors and sets no tracking cookies; apart from the connection data needed to deliver its pages, personal data reaches the site only through the editorial mailbox or a provider request. A provider request carries eight fields and no name, and checker answers stay in the browser.
AIActGuide.net publishes this privacy policy. The site is an independent guide to the EU AI Act, Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 as amended by Regulation (EU) 2026/1744, and the policy covers every page of it. The policy was last updated on 24 October 2026.
Written by the AIActGuide.net Editorial Team; how the guide checks every statement: methodology.
What AIActGuide.net Collects at a Glance
Four situations decide what AIActGuide.net collects: reading a page, writing to the editorial mailbox, sending a provider request and using the checker. Each situation differs in data, purpose, retention and recipients:
| Situation | Data collected | Purpose | Kept for | Shared with |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Reading a page | Connection data such as the IP address, processed by the content delivery network | Delivering pages and blocking abuse | The content delivery network | |
| Writing to the editorial mailbox | The sender's e-mail address and message | Answering the message only | Nobody | |
| Sending a provider request | Role, risk route, country of establishment, size, support needed, message, e-mail address, consent | Passing the request to independent providers and answering it | 24 months | Independent providers of the selected support |
| Using the checker | Answers, which stay in the browser | Showing the orientation result | Not stored | Nobody, unless the request form is submitted |
Data collected by AIActGuide.net, as of 24 October 2026.
The provider request is the only situation in which the reader chooses to have data passed on to others, with consent recorded in the form. Reading and the checker never ask for a name or an e-mail address.
Who Is Responsible for Your Data
AIActGuide.net, the publisher of this guide, decides how the personal data described here is used, and every request about that data goes to editorial@aiactguide.net. The same mailbox handles access, correction and deletion. AIActGuide.net is an independent publisher, not affiliated with the European Commission, the AI Office or any other EU institution.
Reading the Guide: No Analytics Scripts and No Tracking Cookies
Reading AIActGuide.net requires no personal data: the site runs no analytics scripts and sets no tracking cookies. Three kinds of tracking are absent from every page of the guide:
- Analytics scripts, such as page-view counters.
- Advertising vendors, such as ad networks.
- Tracking cookies, such as cookies that follow a reader across sites.
Any page of the guide opens without an account, a login or an e-mail address.
Connection Data at the Content Delivery Network
AIActGuide.net is served through a content delivery network, which processes connection data such as the IP address to deliver pages and block abuse. Connection data travels with every request a browser makes, so no page reaches the reader without it. The same delivery applies to every page of the guide, the checker included.
Contacting AIActGuide.net: The Editorial Mailbox
An e-mail to editorial@aiactguide.net gives the site the sender's address and message, which are used only to answer it. Readers who contact AIActGuide.net this way share only what they write, and the message reaches nobody outside the site. Writing an e-mail never adds the sender to a mailing list.
Corrections to any page of the guide are reported to the same address. Every way to contact AIActGuide.net for corrections and questions leads to this one mailbox. A corrected page shows an updated date and a change note.
The Provider Request Form: Fields, Recipients and Retention
The provider request form collects eight fields, passes them to independent providers of the selected support and keeps them for 24 months. Forms on other pages of the guide invite the reader to "Describe your AI system and your role" and ask for these fields, and nothing else:
- Role.
- Risk route.
- Country of establishment: an EU Member State, an EEA state or outside the EU.
- Size: SME or start-up, small mid-cap, or larger.
- Support needed.
- Message.
- E-mail address.
- Consent.
Each request goes to independent providers of the support the reader selects. AIActGuide.net has not yet chosen provider partners, so no provider of EU AI Act consulting or other support is named, ranked or recommended on the site. A request needs no name, because the form has no name or organisation field.
Request data is used only to pass the request on and to answer it, never for a mailing list. Requests about that data, such as access or deletion, go to editorial@aiactguide.net.
Answers You Enter in the Checker
Answers entered in the checker are processed in the browser and are not stored or sent anywhere unless the reader submits the provider request form. The EU AI Act compliance checker turns those answers into a result that shows the legal reference and the date for each route. That result is an orientation, not a legal assessment, and it never states that a system is compliant.
Your Choices and Rights over Your Data
Four choices over personal data stay with the reader, and each is exercised directly:
- Read every page without giving a name or an e-mail address.
- Write to editorial@aiactguide.net, or do not.
- Send a provider request without a name.
- Ask for access to, or deletion of, the data sent.
These choices come on top of the rights that Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (OJ L 119, 4.5.2016, p. 1), applicable since 25 May 2018, gives every person whose personal data is processed. Requests based on those rights also go to the editorial mailbox.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
A change to this privacy policy shows as a new update date and a change note at the top of the page. The policy changes when the site adds a new form or form field, starts a mailing list, changes how its pages are delivered or chooses provider partners. Until then, the version of 24 October 2026 applies.
Data Protection Duties under the EU AI Act: Where This Guide Covers Them
The EU AI Act leaves data protection law in place: under Article 2(7), Union data protection law applies to personal data processed in connection with the act, which does not affect Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the GDPR), Regulation (EU) 2018/1725 or Directives 2002/58/EC and (EU) 2016/680. Since 27 July 2026, when Regulation (EU) 2026/1744 entered into force, that clause applies without prejudice to Articles 4a and 59; before that date it referred to Article 10(5) and Article 59. Recital 10 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 adds that the act does not seek to affect existing data protection law, including the powers of the supervisory authorities, and the comparison of AI Act vs GDPR shows where the two regulations overlap.
AIActGuide.net Privacy: Related Questions
Three further privacy points concern the independence of AIActGuide.net from EU institutions, the role of providers and the absence of a mailing list.
Is AIActGuide.net Part of the European Commission?
No: AIActGuide.net is an independent reference, not affiliated with the European Commission, the AI Office or any EU institution. The publisher and purpose of this independent reference appear under About AIActGuide.net. Does a Provider Pay to Receive Requests or Appear on the Site?
No provider partner is chosen yet: requests sent through AIActGuide.net go to independent providers of the support the reader selects, and no provider appears on the site. Independence from providers is part of the editorial policy, and the editorial policy on provider partners applies to every page of the guide. No provider is named, ranked or recommended in the guide.
Is There a Mailing List or a Download?
No: AIActGuide.net offers no subscription e-mails and no download, so it keeps no mailing list. E-mail addresses from the mailbox and the request form serve only to answer messages and to pass requests on.
